Gov. Mba was compelled to blackmail Supreme Court – IPOB.

On Friday, IPOB claimed that “Aso Rock” pressured Governor Peter Mba to blackmail the Supreme Court before Nnamdi Kanu’s December 15 judgement.

IPOB cited Mba’s claim that the group was prohibited.

Mba mentioned it to State House Correspondents after visiting President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

However, IPOB cautioned that the governor would make a “costly mistake” by using the group’s name to “buy favour from Tinubu’s administration.”

According to Powerful, the global movement and family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), led by Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has been drawn to Dr. Peter Mba’s unguarded and reckless remarks after his visit to Aso Rock a few days ago.

“Dr. Peter Mba called IPOB a proscribed organisation and accused us of organising the sit-at-home because he was under pressure to blackmail IPOB ahead of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s Supreme Court ruling days away.

Gov. Mbah forgot his public condemnation of Monday sit-at-home hijacker Simon Ekpa. Does it not follow that the Tinubu administration would have pressured Enugu State Governor Dr. Peter Mba to blame IPOB for the Southeast sit-at-home and insecurity? Because of that, he barked like a mad dog and coward.

Thus, we advise the public to ignore the raving of a cowardly governor under federal pressure to demonise IPOB, especially since Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s Supreme Court judgement is days away.

“Using the IPOB name to curry favour with Tinubu’s administration is a costly mistake. IPOB is tough. Silence, tenderness, quietness, and compassion for our people are not cowardice. Try not to stir up trouble for your government. We know you talk too much, so if you don’t know how to talk to the press, find someone who does or another way. IPOB has your antibiotics.

IPOB again urges the Nigerian Supreme Court Justices to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, whom the Court of Appeal has acquitted, and warns that no Nigerian court should try him. Self-determination is legal. Kidnapping and extradition of a freedom fighter is illegal.

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB cannot surrender to blackmail. We’ve crossed Rubicon. There will be no retreat or capitulation. Today belongs to Dr. Mba and other blackmailers, but tomorrow belongs to IPOB and other Biafran freedom fighters. IPOB is bigger than you think. Time will tell.”
