In the Ogijo Area of Ogun State, a man named Chizoke Obiadada and his son, Michael Obiadada, have been apprehended by the police for conspiring to beat their neighbour Tope Owoade to death.
This was revealed on Saturday in a statement that was signed by the state’s police public relations officer, Omolola Odutola. The incident happened when the deceased begged Obiadada not to sit on a table that she used to sell cow skin, or “ponmo,” according to the police.
Consequently, the woman got into a battle with Obiadada and his son, who hurt her so badly that she passed away later that day.
Isiaka Owoade, the deceased’s husband, reported the occurrence.
The statement reads as follows: “On March 29, 2024, after he (Isiaka Owoade) returned from a trip, his late wife told him that on March 28, 2024, at around 2030hrs, two of his known neighbours, one named Chizoke Obiadada,’m’, 54 years old, and his son, one named Micheal Obiadada,’m’, 17 years old, hacked his wife in fist blows, beating her up viciously, causing her to suffer fatal injuries that caused her to bleed profusely from the womb and in her private area.
“When she advised the two not to sit on the table that she uses to sell animal skin. “He claimed that when his wife was taken to Kunle Hospital Atan Agowa and Main Frame Private Hospital, she was turned away.
“He added that while she was being transported to a government hospital, his wife passed away.”
After Owoade’s report at the Ogijo Divisional headquarters, Obiadada and his son were taken into custody by the police and given over to the State Criminal Investigation Department for a covert investigation.
