Fellow Nigerians,
I, Chief Chidiebere Okoh, a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and advocate for good governance, am compelled to address the recent false accusations leveled against Honourable Benjamin Kalu, the Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives.
The Facts
- Honourable Kalu is diligently performing his duties as Deputy Speaker without any evidence of wrongdoing or corruption.
- There is no concrete evidence to suggest Honourable Kalu’s involvement in any corrupt activities.
- The accusations against him appear to be motivated by a personal rivalry with Honourable Ugochinyere, who views Kalu as a potential rival.
- The allegations against Honourable Kalu are based on unverified claims and assumptions, rather than concrete evidence.
- The Northern Stakeholders Consultative Forum (NSCF) and other civil society organizations have made unsubstantiated claims against Honourable Kalu, which may be driven by political motivations.
- Honourable Kalu has not been accused of any wrongdoing by the Speaker of the House or any other reputable authority.
- There is no evidence to suggest that Honourable Kalu has engaged in any corrupt or unethical behavior.
Our Position
We stand by Honourable Benjamin Kalu and assert that he is innocent of any wrongdoing. We urge the public to rely on verifiable evidence and credible sources to form opinions and make informed decisions.
Call to Action
We call on Yerima Shettima and the NSCF to retract their false accusations and focus on promoting good governance rather than spreading misinformation.
