The University of Cross River( UNICROSS) formerly CRUTECH Alumni Association has affirmed Comrade Agwu Paul Adugba as the substantive National President that will steer the leadership of the association.

In a motion moved by the Cross River State Chapter Chairman, Arc. Orok Okon, and seconded by Comrade Mike Agon, at the Chinese Restaurant Event Hall, State Housing Estate Calabar, on Monday morning, the members of the association said it was carried out by the peace committee in order to implement the remaining 5% of the peace agreement duly signed by the members of the association.

In a chat with our correspondent on Monday afternoon, a member of the alumni association, Kes Akpama assured members that the new National Executive Committee, under his leadership of Agwu Paul Adugba would unite members of the association and deliver on its promises.

He noted that the alumni had been embroiled in skirmishes and crisis, hence the need for the affirmation.

He stressed that the members have been yearning for unity to make them stand as one, adding that they finally had in Adugba the kind of leadership that we have been yearning for.

“He has come to repair our image, build the alumni, and unify us together in order to achieve a higher purpose of making UNICROSS Alumni Association great again.

“An alumni is not a social media thing or a Student Union Government but a place made up of the capacity of people who are graduates of the school—bringing in their wealth of experience and contacts for the overall development of the university.

“We believe that Agwu Paul Adugba has that capacity to be able to do things right, to unite everybody and bring an effective and efficient leadership that is needed for all of us.”
