Abia’s Future Bright: Deputy Governor Emetu Shares Vision for Progress

Umuahia, Abia State – Deputy Governor Ikechukwu Emetu has disclosed that the Abia State development trajectory is anchored on prudent management of scarce resources. According to him, the government has taken a strategic approach to optimize resources and drive growth in key areas like education, healthcare delivery, economy, and social welfare.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Comr. Amos Oge Kalu, Deputy Governor Emetu highlighted the government’s initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, training teachers, providing scholarships, upgrading healthcare facilities, and reducing maternal and infant mortality.

On the 2027 election, Deputy Governor Emetu expressed confidence that Governor Alex Otti’s performance will significantly influence the election outcome. “We’ve delivered on our promises, and the people have seen tangible benefits in their lives,” he said.

The Deputy Governor also emphasized the importance of vision, integrity, and competence in leadership, advising aspiring politicians to prioritize the needs of the people and make tough decisions when necessary.

Looking ahead to the 2027 election and beyond, Deputy Governor Emetu envisioned Abia State evolving positively in terms of economic growth, infrastructure development, and social welfare. “We’re committed to building a brighter future for all Abians,” he said.
