A disturbing report has emerged alleging that Chikwe Udensi, a former National Chairman of the Association of Local Governments in Nigeria (ALGON) and a gubernatorial candidate in Abia State, has brutally beaten his wife, Chidinma Udensi, to the point of almost disfiguring her.
According to a statement released by Irene Amos Abbott, a niece of the victim, Chief Udensi has a history of violent behavior towards his wife, with incidents escalating from slaps to severe beatings. The latest incident allegedly occurred when Chidinma requested a divorce, prompting Chief Udensi to lock her in their home and threaten her life.
The statement describes Chief Udensi as a “violent abuser” and a “womanizer” who has repeatedly subjected his wife to physical harm, resulting in multiple hospital visits. It also alleges that he has used his influence with the police force to intimidate and control his wife.
Human rights activists, lawyers, and concerned individuals are urged to assist in freeing Chidinma from this dangerous situation. The matter has been made public to raise awareness and prevent further harm.
Please note that the veracity of these allegations has not been independently confirmed.
