Delta residents build Shrine in Chevron plant over PIA failure.

Ugborodo Community residents in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State protested Chevron Escravos Gas to Liquid (EGTL)'s alleged non-implementation of the Petroleum Industry Act by setting up a frightening idol in front of the plant on Wednesday. Placard-bearing protestors who blocked the facility's gate stated the idol, called “Ogbejugbele,” was not damaging to Chevron employees but was a symbolic expression of their ancestors' anger with the firm. Reactions trail maltreatment of 250 Nigerians in Ethiopian prisons

When Dr Paul Ezike’s video on the alleged plight of some Nigerians in Ethiopia’s Kaliti Prisons, Addis Ababa, recently hit the social media space, it was a quick reminder of what Nigerians have been going through in several prisons outside Nigeria, particularly in Asian countries and Libya, over the past couple of years. Mali and Burkina Faso have vowed to come to Niger’s aid if it is attacked. ECOWAS and the West have criticized the three countries over military takeovers, which have strained their…

Okokon Ndem – Minister of Information for the distressed Nation (Biafra)

(Remembering Okokon Ndem and other hardcore Biafrans who were not from the South East.) Meet Otobong Ndem Who is said to have completed a Higher National Diploma (HND) before secondary school before Federal Radio Cooperation (FRCN) took over the former Radio Biafra? The words of Okokon Ndem come in handy here as we Igbos continue the fight against injustice. We all abhor a system that marginalizes individuals and groups. It is also true that while we cry for equity, there must be a touch of wisdom and diplomacy. With awareness created, bridges should be built and walls destroyed. Okokon Ndem…
