Karamagi Alex “Dog City” Released from CMI Detention, Recounts Harrowing Experience

Kampala, Uganda – After nearly a week in detention at the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI), Karamagi Alex, popularly known as “Dog City,” has been released alongside comrades Wambi Peter from Luuka and Mwanje Ashraf from Kyadondo.

According to sources, the trio was subjected to severe torture during their detention, leaving them in need of urgent medical attention.

In a disturbing display of humiliation, Dog City’s signature dreadlocked hair was shaved off by his captors.

The release of the three comrades has sparked a mix of emotions, with many expressing relief and solidarity. The incident has also raised concerns about human rights violations and the use of torture by security agencies in Uganda.
