The Malawi Embassy in Nigeria has been alerted of a worrisome development involving her citizen, Moses Dzimbiri of Blantyre, Malawi, who has been impersonating his country by posing as an immigration officer to defraud unsuspecting Nigerians of their hard-earned money.
In his latest stunt, a young Nigerian who needed a business VISA to Malawi was introduced to Moses in November 2023. Mr. Moses said his brother has been working with the Malawian immigration in his country where he too was a staff before traveling out of the country.
The client from Nigeria innocently trusted him after getting convinced of his ability to help a third party get the VISA and sent him money to help him secure the VISA as he was present in Malawi while the client was traveling from Europe.
Unfortunately for both the client and the 3rd-party, a leopard cannot get rid of his skin, Mr. Moses showcased his skills of criminality by making away with the money without delivering on the job either through his brother or himself as he claimed to be an immigration officer with many contacts before he traveled out of his country.
Irked by his unprofessional action of not delivering the job and suddenly avoiding the calls of bother his client and the 3rd-Party, an investigation was launched to reveal that he was never an immigration officer, but a common criminal who served many years of jail terms in Miserete Prison Benin Republic,
A petition has then been sent to Malawi. The relief sought in the petition to Malawian authorities through the nearest embassy Address in Addis Ababa, Corner Sunshine/Maani, P.O Box 2316 Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Phone: +251-116-620-295, is to fish out Mr Moses Dzimbiri who is tarnishing the image of Malawi by posing as an immigration officer to help Nigerians due to the no presence of a Malawian Embassy in Nigeria.
To recover the amount he collected for VISA processing for the unsuspecting Nigerian client.
Stop him from further damaging the image of Malawi before the international community.
