Ondo State APC Chairman Killed by Kidnappers After Ransom Payment

Tragedy has struck in Ondo State as Nelson Adepoyigi, the Ward 5 Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ose Local Government Area, was killed by his abductors despite a ransom payment. Adepoyigi was kidnapped on Monday while parking his vehicle at his Ifon residence. The kidnappers initially demanded N100 million, but after negotiations, the ransom was reduced to N5 million. Two community members volunteered to deliver the ransom, but the kidnappers later demanded an additional N30 million for the release of Adepoyigi and the two volunteers.
